Trade-In Terms and Conditions

By accepting a quote from Audio Trader, you are bound by our terms and conditions documented below:

V1.1 12/09/2024

By initiating a trade-in with Audio Trader, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in these policies.

1. Trade-In Initiation:

The trade-in process involves providing factual information about your item.

Customers are responsible for accurately representing the condition of their item.

Customers must initiate the trade-in process on the Audio Trader platform before shipping their instrument.

2. Shipping Process:

Audio Trader will arrange appropriate collection/delivery means typically using a courier service at a time suitable to the customer.

Audio Trader will be responsible for payment to the selected courier.

3. Packaging Guidelines:

Items should be securely packed to prevent damage during transit.

Customers must use appropriate packaging materials, and appropriate boxes to protect the instrument. Do not use boxes without structural integrity. Fill all voids preferably with bubble wrap so there is no movement of your item inside the packaging. Strong tape should be used to ensure the package does not open in transit.

4. Shipping:

Audio Trader will provide the shipping label required for your collection service or drop off.

Application of the correct label is the responsibility of the customer, and Audio Trader is not liable for instruments shipped to the wrong address.

5. Delivery Confirmation:

Proof of dispatch should be retained by the customer.

Take photographs of the package both externally and internally prior to sealing in case any damage occurs during shipping.

6. Instrument Assessment:

Once the item is received, Audio Trader will conduct a thorough assessment to verify its condition matches that stated at Trade-in by the customer.

If the item does not meet the agreed-upon criteria or is found to be in a different condition than described by the customer, Audio Trader reserves the right to reject the trade.

In case of a trade rejection, the customer will be contacted and offered a revised Trade-in value (if we are able to repair the item).

Alternatively if the item is unrepairable or the customer does not accept the revised Trade-in value then the customer must arrange a courier to collect their item.

All liability for the item at this point passes back to the customer.

7. Assessment Time:

Audio Trader will assess items within 5 working days of receipt. Once this process is complete the trade-in value along with any adjustments to the original terms will be confirmed to the customer.

8. Payment Time:

Payment for your item will be submitted to your chosen account within 24 hours of the assessment taking place. Providing the item is as described by the customer when submitting a trade.

9. Refund Eligibility:

Refunds are not applicable for items that have already been traded in and accepted by Audio Trader to the point where a full transaction has been accepted and completed.

10. Disputes:

In the event of a dispute regarding the trade-in evaluation, both parties agree to negotiate in good faith to reach a fair resolution.

11. Contact Information:

For all enquiries customers can contact us at hello@audiotrader.co.uk.

12. Changes to this Policy:

Audio Trader reserves the right to update or modify this refund policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Audio Trader website.
